The Moorings

One of the finest newer developments in the area, The Moorings is rapidly becoming a show place waterfront community.  Homes in The Moorings run from the mid $310s to the high $900s.
 
It is located on Club Foot Creek, a secondary nursery for shrimp, flounder and blue crabs.  This substantial creek is over one thousand yards across, and is the original Intracoastal Waterway, with water access to the Beaufort and Morehead City areas even today. 

The development is 1.1 miles from the Neuse River, and is approximately .4 mile south of the highly regarded Matthews Point Marina.  Every lot in this development has either its own dock and boatslip(s), or in the case of interior lots, a deeded boat slip.  Within 18 months, all lots within this community were sold out.
